This color combination of coral, diamond, pearl and black onyx was favored by Cartier. In 1922, Henri Picq created for Cartier a similar tassel pendant using the same material, only with the addition of a pendant ring on a knotted cord, a design inspired by Chinese amuletic jade discs. This reference is now part of the official Cartier Collection.
